These idiots should when caught made to clean it up with a toothbrush in their own time. Throught out the land walls (not just on the railway) are becoming covered with the stuff. And who pays for it's removal, you, me, and all the others who despise the stuff. The railway between Reading and Paddington has the stuff removed ASAP these days but not the areas around places like Bath (Brunels Sydney Gdns is now attacked on a regular basis) and it has started to appear at Box ( Middle Hill Tunnel) and Bristol (the mile either side of Temple Meads is like an Old American Ghetto).
I would appeal to anyone who tags property being railway, council or privately owned and especially those who go by the name of ENAK, TAME, CK1 (CKONE), TEAR, KASH, KUSH should turn em in. On a lighter note I did notice a tag when driving my train through Twerton, theres a person who's signature really sums him/herself up, he/she goes by the name of THICK Title: Re: Graffiti Post by: zebedee on March 05, 2008, 15:25:52 Anyone caught doing it, should have THICK permanently etched into their foreheads.... ;)

I believe the "TEAR" person was caught and prosecuted? most of "TEAR'S" "work" was etched into windows of units, seems to have dissapeared lately though.I would appeal to anyone who tags property being railway, council or privately owned and especially those who go by the name of ENAK, TAME, CK1 (CKONE), TEAR, KASH, KUSH should turn em in. Title: Re: Graffiti Post by: BPWuser on March 05, 2008, 23:15:53 I was (sadly) wondering the other day whether the new FGW paint job for the local fleet was actually an anti-graffiti paint job, rather than a corporate design. Any graffiti added to the trains would basically be very difficult to see, and so it could deter people from having a go. Good idea I thought. However, I hadn't considered that they would move further up and spray the windows!
Title: Re: Graffiti Post by: WashuChan on March 06, 2008, 06:57:48 They should be caught and made to clean it up, but in some cases some of the work produced (not on the trains mind, more the walls that look tatty/ugly otherwise) is actually quite good. In those cases surely finding those people and asking them to help brighten up stations that are otherwise dull and rather depressing to look at might be an idea.
Oh and to anyone who goes from Reading anywhere, take a look at the tall building nearby to the station, towards the top floor..how insane must that guy of been? Murals can be very effective (example below) : (http://www.raildocuments.org.uk/mar08photos/020308bedminster11.jpg) I agree that the mindless stuff is not on, though.
