Are there any warning posters at the point where you tap in?

"Some Tickets require you to travel on a specific train service or services, or the services of a particular Train Company or Companies. This will be made clear to you when you purchase your Ticket."

"Some Tickets are held as an electronic record on a smartcard or electronic device or may be transmitted to you for you to show or print out yourself. In such cases you will be advised of (and must comply with) the specific conditions applying to Tickets held in those formats."

If there's no clear adjacent warning where you tap in, nor any direct communication of specific conditions prior to purchase, then any train company can be used.

As it's tap-in and tap-out, how does that work?   Cross Country?

Transport for Wales is doing special offer for 10 days.

£1 for travel in the pay as you go area (from Chepstow, Abergavenny & Severn Tunnel Junction to Pyle and Maesteg in the west, including the valley branches.

Just seems to require contactless tap in and tap out at destination using same card.  If multiple people, each needs own bank card.
