The image shows the platform of the Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT Line in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, specifically identified as a platform at Plaza Rakyat LRT Station.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you have been greatly misinformed by Google. (It may not be the first time!).

It is actually the KTM railway station at Alor Setar, where we had just arrived having taken a taxi from Kuala Kedah after travelling by ferry from Langkawi.

Yes it is (obviously) Malaysia - I would defy anybody to take a photograph of virtually anything in Malaysia that didn't have their national flag in it, they are very proud of their homeland - but I was rather hoping for a few attempts to identify a more precise location.
