This year, Lisa and I "Interrailed" around Europe - no car, no fly holiday and here are some of the pictures I took. A friend has reminded me that there's an Interrail sale on - 25% off tickets for next year. You don't have to choose dates and destinations - outside Great Britain you have 32 countries you can visit. An adventure I was delighted to have and, yes, we have our passes from the current sale already and we're thinking whether to go to Aalborg, Zwolle, or places alphabetically between them.

Whilst there was no particular rush (we still have three weeks to go) I have booked an Interrail pass for next year. Various sites are available - I use https://www.interrail.eu/en which I commend to you. My pass needs activation by 26th October 2026 and I am now wondering if I can find anything to do in Europe. Lisa will be with me some of the time.

Hot off the presses - Interrail passes for sale with a 25% discount from 25th November to 17th December. Applies to global passes and single country passes except Switzerland. "Usual exchange and refund conditions apply" according to the early data. It's likely that the pass (if electronic) will need to be activated within 11 months of purchase, or a specific start date within that time nominated if you purchase a paper pass. I will follow up with sale URLs - the presses in France are ahead of the others.
