Why The Elizabeth Line Must Be Extended To Ebbsfleet International

There would seem to be some sense in providing an Old Oak Common (HS2 and GWR main line) direct service to Ebbsfleet International (HS1).   That would only be sense, mind you, if HS1 provided an international service at Ebbsfleet ...

Passive provision was made to extend the Elizabeth Line to Ebbsfleet, the route is protected.

There is more to connecting to Ebbsfleet than HS1 international services, it would provide a direct link the Medway towns stations into the Westend, the City and Docklands
