At least some of the routes are now walking and cycling trails, although I am sure more former routes could be added.

Did West Cowes, Newport, Sandown, Shanklin and Wroxall last Saturday, a most enjoyable trip.

Smallbrook Junction Haven Street extended to Newport, Freshwater and Yarmouth would make a wonderful leisure line.  Do quite a bit for the towns served and the people who live there all year too??   Lost in a different era but one has to wonder about how things might have turned out.    The Isle of Wight, with the absence of drive-through connections from mainland England, has a somewhat different metric to most places.
