Whilst on the suject of Welsh railways. Has anyone caught up with the 4 programmes broadcast on BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) 2 Wales at 730pm on Tuesdays ?
Living in Portishead I get my Freeview from Wenvoe. Called Beating Beeching'  they feature footage never seen before on TV▸ (Thames Valley).Unusually The earlier programmes are ALL available on i player. A browser  search for Beating Beeching will bring them up.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

So were pax travelling on friesion passes?  Did pax on the Hereford line get held up?  I think with all talk on this issue, nothing can be black and white.
