What happened last Friday 11th November 2011 Between Reading and Londo

For various reasons I needed to get back from Slough to Reading last friday leaving Slough about 6pm

It seemed that every train out of london to reading was delayed (I believe in the Langley area( which caused major delays. It also seemed that some HSTs^▸ (High Speed Train) were using the slow "UP" line.

The Frome train I needed to catch from Reading to Thatcham was redirected to Platform 5 which is unusual. I think there may have been a passenger unwell situation on a train which was being held on Platform 4 which may have been a contributary factor.

If we are thinking about the same day there were signalling issues affecting platform 4a ,Pretty sure this has already been discussed on the forum

Apologies - I had looked around but couldn't see anything. I was referring to services from Paddington to Reading through Slough. From memory (and I know I hadn't been on a train for a couple of weeks) 4a at Reading only services trains from the Wokingham line.

Ha ha but (generally) trains run a lot slower on the relief lines.. Hence the fact people will quite often refer to them as slow
