Was on 16:25 Exmouth Barnstable when we held outside Topsham and then at topsham station. It appears a trespasser was escorted from the line.

Trouble was it caused us to miss the 17:02 London train from St Davids. Train manager did say advanced tickes would be valid on 18:02 didn't worry us as we had Club 55.

Shame FGW (First Great Western) don't yet do 'Delay Repay'. You could have claimed compensation for the delay to your journey.

Unfortunately their current scheme excludes payment of compensation when a delay is caused by events outside the control of the railway.

You'll have to find the trespasser and sue him!  Wink

You say that in jest however if the police escorted them away details will be held so that may be possible?

Always possible that it was a "her", not a "him" of course... Wink

Gotta be honest I typed him and then realised, I know it shouldn't be but it's an easy assumption to make

As I was talking about suing I was of course using the masculine pronoun as it is used in the legal profession where gender specific pronouns are understood to include both genders, unless the pronoun is meant to refer specifically to one or the other.  Wink

Either that or gender didn't even cross my mind when I typed.  Smiley
