A little harder ... spurred on by the hypothysis that we have members who can recongise any train or bus at distance, I've put together some of the photos from my collection.





Different "rules" this time.   Please guess AT LEAST three (up to all six) each and I'll just tell you how many of your group you have right.

Top Left - Longleat Railway...?

Centre Right, That one is bugging me but it looks suspiciously like Yeovil Pen Mill?

The only one I had a 'scooby doo' about was centre right: I agree, I reckon it's Yeovil Pen Mill.  Undecided

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

I'm not convinced that the top left picture is actually Salthouse Fields, Clevedon - commendable little railway though that is. And, sorry, thetrout, but I don't reckon it's Longleat, either.

I am, however, now convinced that centre right is Yeovil Pen Mill - and all three of us have now been given 'one correct answer' where that was suggested.

My third suggestion, of the Portishead line, was a deliberate ploy: in the spirit of 'Cluedo', by a process of elimination, I reckon we've at last managed to identify just one of grahame's pictures.

This could be a long night ...  Shocked

Radstock Angry Angry Angry I bluddy knew that's what it would turn out to be! However because I must have been in LaLa land (again!! Roll Eyes Shocked Grin ) If i'd have thought about it, if you had taken that picture at Castle Cary (Which it does look very similar!) you would have definately been stood on the Down Line!! eek!
