Earlier this week there were postings in the disruption section of the FGW▸ (First Great Western) Website of a number of short formed services.   Perhaps by somebody unaware they are no longer shewn.
This service was shewn formed 1 Carriage instead of 3.
I was wondering if this scheduled formation of 3 was correct as I would have thought the bulk of the commuters would be tailing off by this time,  and, if correct, the 153 would be put to better use by strengthening the 17 41 Bristol TM‡(resolve) to Gloucester, a train which, according to Yate commuters, is severely overcrowded on a daily basis.

I believe the procedure for putting shortforms on the website is they will get put on if big reduction in capacity.

Which 1 vice 3 would be.

This train is currently run by one of the ATW▸ (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC▸ (Train Operating Company))) hire-in 150's, so is never a 3 car formation.
