How many ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) 150's do FGW (First Great Western) have? I noticed 2 ATW 150s today on Cardiff-Taunton diagrams. Are they going to return to ATW any time soon?

FGW currently have two ATW 150s on hire on any one day, presumably not Sundays though. The diagrams start and finish at Cardiff so different sets are likely to be used each day. This arrangement will no doubt continue until the London Midland 150s start arriving.

Oh right, i didnt realise that they used different units each time, i assumed they had some on loan which stayed with FGW (First Great Western) permanently until they gave them back. Strange to see an ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) train on a FGW service.

FGW (First Great Western) use 2 X 150 from ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) on Sundays during this Summer and venture almost to Lands End !!!   The 2 am Bristol to Penzance services after staying at PM overnight Saturday.  They then return to Cardif Sunday evening.

Perhaps they used one on the 9am from Cardiff which extends from Taunton to Plymouth. What usually runs that service now?

When there were 5 and later 4 ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) 150s virtually semi allocated to FGW (First Great Western) they would have worked everywhere FGW ones would have.   Now, of course, there are in effect 2 ATW Diagrams working FGW services which, I believe have been documented earlier on other threads.

FGW (First Great Western) also 'loan' drivers from ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) into South Wales from Bristol Temple Meads- is it just on the Portsmouth trains or on the Taunton services too?

08.56 from Highbridge was an ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) 150 yesterday ( approx 08.30 from Taunton to Parkway) and there was another new paint job 9cannot remember which company) at Temple Meads yesterday afternoon
