I would have done Weymouth, that was until the date changed and now I can't.
Not sure about the 21st August yet.

I've moved this topic here, from our 'frequent posters' area, just to include any other interested readers - now that we've resolved the dates of these get-togethers! Anyone is welcome to travel with us - and please do introduce yourself to one (or more) of us, en route! Chris.

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

I (and bignosemac, I think) will be travelling on the 07:45 Bristol Temple Meads to Chippenham service, then the 08:37 Chippenham to Weymouth.

Well.... Sorry to hear you've now moved to Swindon, bobm. But glad to hear that you'll be joining one or two us on the jolly down to the seaside!

Forgive me. Lovely town. I'm actually visiting STEAM next Weds. Should've been today but I got rainchecked by a mate. Yes, Swindon is an easy target for negativity. It's not just me though. Was traveling to Swindon today (and beyond as it turned out) and bumped into a FGW▸ TM‡ who is a forum member. He saw my ticket and said, "Swindon? Why?" Struggled to find an answer, except to say that I was breaking my journey at Chippenham.....
