Not happy with the way the barred dates are implemented online. On Sunday 10th July (T4 On The Beach, Weston SM) it is not possible to buy GroupSave if you want to, say, travel from Bristol to Bridgwater during times when GroupSave travel is barred to/from WSM.

This despite the barred list quite clearly stating at the top "Travel is permitted for journeys THROUGH the station."

Not an FGW (First Great Western) fault....

There appears to be an issue at the National Rail Enquiries / RSP end (they effect the bars on line) so I have asked them to investigate. Thanks for flagging it up.

Ahead of you on that one ChrisB. Spoke with CS yesterday, who put me on hold while they spoke with F&I at Swindon. I got the reply similar to your quote. It appears that all trains calling at WSM have been barred from GroupSave on that date regardless of whether they serve other stations.

I'd debate whether FGW (First Great Western) were at fault or not though. They have to provide the information to NRE(resolve)/RSP and thetrainline (who manage their booking engine) and should really ensure that it is implemented correctly.

As you know I'm pedantic and go looking for errors likes this. I'm hot on errors that will potentially see passengers paying more than they need to. I don't mind pointing them out to the TOC (Train Operating Company) but I'd much rather they got it right in the first place.
