Bit of an interesting one just spotted on the live updates.

This train has been further delayed and is now 34 minutes late from Bristol Temple Meads. This train has been revised. It will no longer call at: Bath Spa, Bradford-On-Avon, Trowbridge, Westbury, Warminster, Salisbury and Romsey. This is due to disruptive passengers

Whilst the disruptive passengers sounds a bit of a nuisance to anyone on the train at that time, a Bristol-Southampton non-stop run would be quite a novelty/rarity!

I believe train was full & standing with Portsmouth supporters coming back from the match with Cardiff.  As none would be getting off before Portsmouth I suppose it seemed the sensible thing to do.

Get any general public travelling to stations to Westbury off the train at Bristol and onto the following GT Malvern-Westbury service and out of harms way from the disruptive Portsmouth fans travelling home after a 0-3 defeat at the hands of Cardiff City. That seems to be what's happened. Really inconvenient for those travelling to Warminster or Salisbury though.....

I would rather see the football fans booted off the train. Inconvenient for those behaving themselves admittedly, but they'd soon be identifying the troublemakers to the club or ensuring they behave themselves in future if the well behaved were inconvenienced.

I'd hope the worst of these fans were nicked at Bristol TM (Train Manager, or possibly Ticket Machine, depending on context). BTP (British Transport Police) and FGW (First Great Western) deciding to run the train non stop back to Hampshire.

I'd like to see a bill for the delays and policing sent to Portsmouth Football Club as well.

My preferred method would have been dropping the disruptive people off at Pilning!

These people weren't just disruptive but destructive as well. What would the logic be in kicking them off at Bristol just to be let loose.

Running it fast kept them all together, with a police presence, and the public could then have a nicer journey on the next services.
