Seems like a lovely offer from FGW (First Great Western). I was just curious if these can only be used by the season ticket holder, or whether I'd be able to use them to take the missus on a summer holiday to Cornwall Smiley

The terms and conditions say non-transferable I just wasn't sure if that was from the moment they sent the tickets out to me or from when I write a name on them Wink

Cheers.

From the time you write a name on them!

A very interesting thread, was this offer only for people renewing this month or was it generally available, I renewed last Dec.

Come to think about it I've seen discussions before regarding ST offers and I don't remember ever receiving anything from FGW (First Great Western) since they took over the franchise. The last goodies I received was in the post, probably in Wessex days, and consisted of a bunch of tear out tickets for the buffet and station parking, the free parking wasn't much use as I cycle to the station.

Chris

Annual since 2002, normally done over the counter at Trowbridge station but did it online for the first time last Dec.

Maybe I've just been unlucky to just get a couple of cups of coffee and a piece of cake in last 9 years.  Undecided

I only got mine recently after several emails to the Customer Service Centre, more than three months after renewing my ticket at Swindon station. So the process appears rather haphazard.

Even then they were dated valid during 2009/2010/2011, so if this is the stock being issued throughout this year people are going to be short changed if they renew later in the year.

Do FGW (First Great Western) advertise the ST holder offers on their website, unless they do I'm unsure how we are supposed to find out about them, unless a fellow holder was lucky enough to get them and casually asked you if you had received yours.  Undecided

As far as I can recall I have received virtually nothing from FGW through the post, and they must have my contact info relating to the photo id card, which I have renewed annually since 2002, I also registered at fgwtickets in 2008 for the ^5 off deal and all info incl address remain correct. Unless of course this is the first ST offer since the buffet/car parking tickets of a few years ago.

Their central database is centred around your photocard.

I am in touch with FGW (First Great Western) over your situation, Tramway, and hope to get it resolved soon.

There is no guarantee of any 'renewal bonus', it is completely discretionary, and therefore no 'entitlement exists.
