I believe so, just not beyond Hayes & H into Heathrow.

I used to use them with a Gold Card occasionaly out of Padd to Hayes.
Nice quite smooth ride with good acceleration, but then they are electric and don't have an underfloor engine. Which is why I find it odd that people seem to object to wires getting to Reading and beyond.
As Chris B says don't try to get to Heathrow as they sting something like ^7 or 8 single from Hayes to Termianl 1-3.

The information provided by National Rail Enquiries appears to suggest, by omission, that the TBDR is not valid on Heathrow Connect, as it only lists First Great Western under 'Train Companies'. The TBDR is also not listed under 'Special Offers' for Heathrow Connect on NRE‡ either. As to the logos on the Heathrow Connect units, that'd be First Group's stylised 'f' and not any FGW▸ branding.

Thanks for the warning but i am not going to heathrow. I do plan on getting at least 1 trip on a class 360 during the off peak as i can see what they are like at peak times. i think it will be a good idea for trains to be 10 carriages during peak hours when crossrail is completed

Good find there IainH.
Conflicting information in the public domain regarding ticket validity. On the railways? Well I never!

I often see a TTI traveling on the Connect service, just ask before you travel

Unlikely for them to check between Pad and Ealing cos both are barriered. But they have staff on board for the entire journey.

I've always had my ticket checked on Connect.
Never seen more than 3/4 people staying on at Hayes.
