Call for extra trains on Wiltshire's lines

Commuters in Wiltshire are hopeful the government will bring in extra trains by the end of the year.
They say the infrequent services between Westbury and Swindon are hindering investment in towns such as Devizes and Melksham.
Their case is being taken to Whitehall, but not everyone is confident it will receive approval.

Chris Irwin, chair of TravelWatch SouthWest, very astute and knowledgable, and a signed-up member here.

The TransWilts scheme is included in the current work going on for the Greater Bristol area, which includes these Bristol area issues;  it's "+ stock" if you look at recent FOI^▸ (Freedom of Information) and other releases - you could paraphrase it to say "oy - we need the extra carriages promised".  Did you note the "13 carriages" mentioned in the report?
