At the moment there is only 1 bus to and 1 bus from per hour. I think it should be increased to every half hour as the bus arrives at TVP at 40 mins past the hour and the bus to tiverton town leaves at 45 mins past the hour. The AXC» and FGW▸ trains arrive at times that are not suitable for the bus times. If i wanted to catch the 09:29 AXC train to PLY» i would have to catch the bus rhat arrives at TVP at 08:40 and have to wait around at TVP for over 45 mins. and if a train arrives at TVP at about 13:49 you would have to wait until 14:45 for the next bus.

Thanks for making that suggestion, ollie b - and welcome to the Coffee Shop forum! As a matter of interest, who runs those buses?

Buses that call at Tiverton Parkway are operated by Stagecoach running between Tiverton and Exeter.

Thanks, bignosemac!
So - would there be enough demand at Tiverton Parkway for them to justify doubling that service? I suspect not, sadly.

I know and in a bit of bad weather stagecoach dont let the buses down the lane and make passengers walk up it for 15 mins and by that time you miss the bus

Try driving up a hill in ice/snow, then consider how much more dangerous it would be in a double decker bus!

There was a small incline out of the Tiverton Parkway car park last time I checked!

Do the buses also have to use any small incline out of the car park? From an internet search, it all looks fairly flat: http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/16955121.jpg (An innocent question: I don't know. )

A cynic (and I am one) would say; why would Stagecoach bother to time their buses to ensure connections with (possibly competing) train services that are operated by First Group and Deutsche Bahn (t/a Arriva CrossCountry)?
It's hard enough to find workable examples of integrated transport when the local bus and train operations are run by the same company.
