What leisure travel plans do you have for 2011?

From the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) web site - The joy of train travel: From New Zealand to London. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-11929967

But beware ...

Quote
Outside Europe, trains usually arrived late

I can't help thinking there may be some parts of Europe, too, where this has applied for the last week.  Have a snug Christmas, everyone ... for a day or two I look forwrd to no reports of delays, cancellations, and trains missing out stops!

Well I guess my journey back from kansaswill be by rail

And then I've got a notion to go around europe this summer by train - but using the rail as a hotel over night betwen places with maybe every other night in a hotel for thorough cleansing

Been this side of the pond a lot but have rarely been to Europe except on business
