Reported on northernrailways.co.uk that London Midland are set to keep 150/001, 150/002, 150/016* and 150/017*  (Renumbered from 150/1s with a centre car from a 150/2.)

They will also retain 150202, 150204, 150206, 150210, 150220 and 150226 as 2 car units.

This will leave 26 x 2 car 150s to cascade.  At present 8 are reserved for Northern and some are set to go to FGW (First Great Western), but I don't know the exact number.

There are supposed to be 9 ex LM (London Midland - recent franchise) units (ie 18 cars) to FGW (First Great Western) - so if that story is correct they are all accounted for.

9 plus 8 = 17 not 26 ??

There are still 9 trains unaccounted for.

Yes - I thought he'd said 26 vehicles, but it's 26 x 2 car 150s.  Easy error to make, and I've been trying to work this sort of stuff out for a couple of years now...  Embarrassed

SO it is 9 units to FGW (First Great Western) and 8 units to Northern, and you are quite right, 9 left over.

I have just posted on the 172 thread that all the London Midland 153 units seem to be out of service since December 12th.  9 or 10 of them I believe.

The 172s were supposed to replace the LM (London Midland - recent franchise) 150 fleet but it's been suggested for a while that LM want to keep some 150s and cascade their 153s.  EMT» (East Midlands Trains - about) were due to indirectly benefit from the LM cascade as they were due to get 156s off Northern as Northern got 150s off LM, but it could now be the case that EMT get the LM 153s.

FGW (First Great Western) are due to get 3 LM (London Midland - recent franchise) 153's next year outside of the FGW 30 deal.
