Currently 20 minutes down heading into Gloucester on the 1241 from Bristol due to this.

20 minutes for a single signal failure sounds rather excessive, arrive at signal, call signal box, receive permission to proceed obeying all other signals?

These things often require investigation. A track circuit failure for example could indicate an obstruction across the line or broken rail etc.

Seems to have been wider signal failure described as being in the Stonehouse area. Now clear although caused delays/cancellations. An awaiting departure of my 1446 service from Gloucester towards London
