off topic slightly but seen as you mentioned Wellington in previous post i'll ask it! but has wellington ever had a train station? seems a silly place not to have one being a fair sized town on the main line

But briefly reopened in Feb 97 or 98 Shocked

477xx failed in the old station on 1V35, Derby Plymouth Cross Country service. 1Z99 (rescue engines) formed of 2 class 67s approached. Some die hard spoon goons (47 bashers) exited the train via the guards van to avoid the General Motors rubbish. This was the first class 1 working for 67s.
