Yeah that one. Heres an idea I might just submit to FGW▸ . Charge a supplement of ^15 to everyone's season ticket and give them a free clock. They might just actually for a change turn up on time and not delay trains further by running at the last min!

The Lawn and concourse remodelling was designed by Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners, in conjunction with Rodney Fitch, the management contractor was Taylor Woodrow and the steelwork, including the reinstatement of the ornamental gable scrollwork, was by Eiffel.

Ahh...that does indeed sound very Parisian. Although... Not the Metro, its something longer lasting, more substantial, some would say a better to look at and you can wrap your chips in it
...am I suffering from an imagination failure here? I've never tried wrapping my chips in ornamental gable scrollwork!

And a fine piece of work it is as well. Top marks Monsieur Eiffel!
I've travelled to and from Paddington countless times and never really noticed that gable screen before. I had, just before taking that photo, snapped away at a brace of HSTs▸ on the platforms then turned around and noticed the Christmas tree. Whilst composing a shot of said tree I noticed the screen above The Lawn and was slightly taken aback by it. I think the light was just right for me to really notice it.
One of my favourite pictures from recent travels on the FGW▸ network.

The entrance hall of the long demolished 2 BBR (Bishops Bridge Road) had a fantastic GWR roundal mosaic, shame as I do not think it was rescued
