Sat 4 Dec 2010.

Just dropped of SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) and spotted the an earlier Penzance service on the departure screen, unfortunately it was actually cancelled.

Wonder what the demand would be if that was a regular departure.  Grin

But quite a few other diverted HST (High Speed Train)'s are stopping at Trowbridge today so I would assume these are for the Christmas shoppers, so a big well done to FGW (First Great Western) for providing extra capacity today on probably one of the busiest days of the year.  3 return services in the afternoon as well.

Not sure how well publicised they have been as the timetabled Cardiff service at 1015 was full and standing, as usual.

Would be good if FGW (First Great Western) are stopping some diverted BRI» (Bristol Temple Meads - next trains)-PAD» (Paddington (London) - next trains) services at Trowbridge that it's actually advertised then people might turn up and use them rather than joining already rammed Cardiff-Portsmouth services that they know always run.
