Number 4 is Dr Days Junction (Bristol). To have taken the photo from that angle, you must have been within the Network Rail bit in the middle of the triangle. Afraid that I can't link this into any of the other photos.
Edit: looking at the photo carefully, you are on a train so must have passed over Bristol East Junction.

I think 2 is the new Newport Station, and 3 is where Llanwern steelworks used to be.

Birkenhead, yes ... just leaving there now.
New Newport - yes.
No picture of Llanwern ... no Manchester, though.
You should be able to tell me the time of the train I caught in Bath ;-) to sort out the Bristol bit

Did you perhaps travel across the Rhubarb. From memory there is a service that avoids BRI» in the afternoon?? Or am I the wrong side of the junction??

3 resembles the view from the line between Patchway and Filton.

That'd be the 1408 from Bath Spa. 1338 Westbury to Bristol Parkway service over the Rhubarb avoiding Temple Meads.

No. 3 is indeed between Filton and Patchway ... and No. 4 was the Rhubarb loop / 14:08 ex Bath. But - alas - No. 5 ain't Crewe though it looks rather like it. Didn't go to Crewe!
