No Pictures this time, just my route... 1 guess each for the first 24 hours!

I started my journey at 04:34 this morning on a stopping fast route service. I arrived at London some 50 later, where I disembarked. I then took the Underground. Within a few minutes of me waiting on the platform, the LU service arrived, I then boarded. The route this service follows passed through a closed station, and other station that is closed occasionally. I alighted 6 stops later. I then changed onto another LU service, this time going 1 stop up the line. I then arrived at another busy London Terminus station. Where I boarded a 6:30 service. This service calls at 2 stations and I will alight at the 3rd. One call is for pickup only...

I will continue to make a further 2 changes before arriving at my destination for 08:49. From here I will walk for about 3 minutes to a Bus stop, where I will board a 09:00 service. I will be travelling for about 15 dependant on traffic. Where I will arrive at my destination Grin

So down to the points, one guess each!

Where Did I start my journey? - Chalkwell - answered by amiddl
Where Did I start my LU part of the journey?
Where Lines did I use for my LU Journey?
Which were the 2 stations I changed at?
Where was I travelling to?
What Bus service did I catch? Bonus points for the Start and Finish point of the service Wink
1000 point's to anyone guessing where I split my tickets... to make it easier I will say I bought 4 tickets, but only used 2 for the same train Smiley
2000 points for anyone who can tell me where I am now?? (Train is on time)

I think there is a Eurostar in there somewhere (pickup only at Ashford or Ebfleet?)

Reading start?

I think Tim may be right that you went to St Pancras via Farringdon through the old Kings Cross station but got a Javlin

Where are you now? Possibly somewhere in the wilds of Kent.

No guesses even close i'm afraid...!

A clue then... This was a domestic UK (United Kingdom) journey, 3 train operators were used excluding the LU leg... One of the legs was on FGW (First Great Western), I used 1 operator twice, but the reasons for this are not obvious as you wouldn't normally change on this line...!

I've made it obvious now haven't I Wink Cheesy Grin

If Chalkwell start then Tower Hill to Euston via Kings Cross.

Closed Station Kings Cross MET. Barbican occasionally closed.

Or to Waterloo - Blackfriars is closed and Cannon Street sporadic in the evenings / weekends. Change at Embankment.  And knowing thetrout, more likely to be heading in a from-Waterloo direction than a from-Euston one after an overnight party in Chalkwell  Wink

And I think I can see the non-obvious change and the FGW (First Great Western) connection too ...

Would say Waterloo as there is a 0630 departure which is pick up only at Clapham Junction stopping at Woking and Basingstoke.

coachflyer, you are correct. I did board that 06:30 service and alighted at Basingstoke.

But full points has to go to grahame, who didn't want to spoil the quiz and sent me the answer in a PM!

The journey was as follows:

04:34 - Chalkwell - London Fenchurch Street

Walk to Tower Hill Underground

Circle Line to Embankment - Closed station is Blackfriars and seldom closed is Cannon Street

Walked onto the Bakerloo platform at Embankment and just missed the connection to Waterloo with the next service in 13 mins, So went to the Northern line platform, where I just missed that service so decided to wait 12 mins for the next one!

06:30 London Waterloo - Basingstoke, Pickup only at Clapham Junction.

07:22 Basingstoke - Salisbury - The unusual change here is because this is where the first Westbound Class 159 Service to Salisbury Starts

Changed at Salisbury for the Cardiff Train, Arriving into Westbury for 08:49, where I walked to the bus stop opposite The Railway Inn. where I boarded a 264 Bus service to White Horse Business Park - The bus service is a Warminster - Bath Bus Station Service

Ticketing:

Chalkwell - London Terminals - Standard Anytime Single ^6.10
London Underground Zone 1 Ticket ^4.00
London Terminals - Warminster via Salisbury - First Anytime Single - ^33.00
Warminster - Westbury - Standard Anytime Single - ^1.90

Total - ^45.00 - With Railcard Discount
