Hello everyone, Its good to see a forum where you can vent your annoyence at First great westerns rubbish service. I get the train every morining from chippenham to swindon and without fail everyday trains are delayed and have fewer carriages than they used to on each train, and the new timetable which came in December means fewer trains and at less convienient times. And they do this to people during the winter months simply for profits? How corrupt is that.

Drew,

Hi, Drew.   Do you think that the new times might be more conveninent for other people even though they're less convenient to you, or is the feeling pretty universal?

When you consider the fact that there used to be 3 maybe 4 trains going in the direction of bristol between 5 and 6 in the week, (This included the train that goes through melksham and trowbridge) and compare that to the 2 trains you get now within the same hour of the day, yes I think a significant percentage of people are inconvienenced. And if their not, then they certainly are by the delays or overcrowding on the train when it does actually arrive on time. Its reflective of their efforts to cover the same routes and services but with fewer trains.
