I have been reading a document which shows that 2O01 [0524 WSB» (Westbury - next trains) - 0555 SAL] and 2E16 [0604 SAL - GCR» (Gloucester - next trains)] is operated by 2 x class 150.  However, do 2 further 158 attach to these at Westbury on the way to GCR?

2O01 is operated by 1x Cl.150 to Salisbury. At Salisbury the SWT (South West Trains) 158 is attached in order to get it to Westbury for it to start its contracted diagram.

Thanks for this!

So how do the 158's return back to Salisbury?

At least until May 2010 the single hired in 158 ended it's day with FGW (First Great Western) at Westbury at about 2300, and then returned to Salisbury in multiple with the last SWT (South West Trains)  of the day returning from Bristol.

Might have changed but probably no reason to...
