The Loco hauled services WILL be running between Bodmin Road and Penzance during the closure of the line! I have been advised that all problems have now been ironed out between Network Rail / FGW▸ and EWS▸ on the operation of advertised passenger services , common sense prevails perhaps ?
Pete
Does aybody no know what locomoives and what coacing stock will be used? And if it will be used Saturday/Sunday?

Engines and stock will be arriving Friday evening from Bristol. Stock to be kept/maintained at Long Rock for the duration. I can't see these services being heavily loaded , because Virigin and other FGW▸ services are running !

This stock IS for operating the Virgin services during the blockade. Stock (2 coaches, 12054 and 11064 plus DVT‡ 82131 as brake vehicle) currently stabled in centre road at BRI» having arrived there on Monday 15th October.

Its only intended to cover for VXC▸ between Penzance and Par / Bodmin Road BUT if a previous post is correct It'll be the branch line DMUs▸ operating shuttle services as follows: Penzance-St Ives Falmouth-Par Newquay-Bodmin Road St Erth-Truro
so with PNZ - PLY» passengers on FGW▸ services facing the prospect of 3 changes, they may use this option in preference.

Oh and printed timetable booklets are now available. Of note is most services to/from Liskeard are only unit shuttles to/from Plymouth. For example on the Mon/Tue/Weds the only trains ex Paddington through to Liskeard are the 15:05, 16:05 and 19:05.

The coaches at Bristol through road are not the coaches for the service. I think there will be 6 coaches with an engine each end for the EWS▸ Loco hauled trains. As posted elsewhere a 67 will be PZ end of the stock and a 66 off of the Local Clay will be at the Plymouth end of the train , quite an unusual formation to be honest eh!
