I'm guessing FA is not a fan of 3+2 seating and the 150/1s lack of tables.

a tad over reacting me thinks??

the LM (London Midland - recent franchise) 150/1 is far superior to the 150 junk FGW (First Great Western) has on its books,clean inside and out including the cabs and when power handle is opened the train moves.in contrast the recently refurbed FGW 150/2's are dirty inside and out the floor covering is lifting up and they are plagued with reliability issues.
the 3+2 seating is not the best layout though but 150's were used for different route types in the midlands and not on routes like weymouth or portsmouth like FGW use them for.

i personally say they will be a welcome addition to the fleet when they all finally arrive at least it will mean the 142's going from devon and bring the loco hauled work back to FGW staff finally

To be fair to FallenAngel, they are a bloomin' awful colour - the lime green paint job (if I'm thinking of the right ones) always brings back horrible memories of mid-1970s office furniture...

not disputing the exterior paint colour is not the best although better than ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) but the overall condition of the trains is so much better than the FGW (First Great Western) stuff.

The ex-LM (London Midland - recent franchise) stock might be in better nick below the solebar, but I'd have thought from a passenger's point of view (which, remember, is what most of us on here are!) the refurbished FGW (First Great Western) units are preferable given the 2+2 high-back seating and other beautifications.
