A note on tagging - what codes can I use in my posts?

This forum lets you use Bulletin Board Codes (BBC^» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page)) within your posts - allowing bold, italic, underline, links, images and more.    There's a reference list of these codes at:

You can't use HTML^▸ (Hypertext Markup Language) code in your posts - it's simply got too many features to make it practical to support, and it would be all too easy for users to add something in which would effect the pages outside their own posts.

Hey Relex - we need another in-built code for that scrolling pic... one that says - This is a customer announcement.  We are sorry to inform you that this train has been cancelled due to a train fault.  Technicians are trying to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.  Sorry for any inconvenience caused.  Would passengers please transfer to the picture on Thread 3.  Thank you.      That's even more childish I know!!
