1. Paddington Station.  Painted by Rupert Farquhar-Pemberton, as part of his community payback, July 2001.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post (a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London), depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

5.  No idea where it is - but isn't there a certain irony, having an apparently trashed TVM (Ticket Vending Machine), right next to a penalty fares notice?  Roll Eyes

Correct it's Twyford. This was taken the evening after the mass TVM (Ticket Vending Machine) attacks. There are usually 2 TVM's in this area.

4 is indeed Slough - sorry didn't see you had answered it.
2 is not Motherwell. It's not that far from Glasgow though - as a clue I have posted about going to this part of Scotland in the past Smiley

I saw this being painted and commented at the time as to why they were obviously a B1 and another LNER» (London North Eastern Railway - about) loco on a GWR (Great Western Railway) station.

Where's the tapered boiler and Belpaire firebox of most GW» (Great Western - used as an abbreviation for the area / lines under the Great Western franchise, as opposed to FGW which includes "First", the company operating them too. For tickets - about) engines?

I also pionted out a howler in the FGW (First Great Western) pasenger magazine where they used clip art of a "Southern" pacific. No not a MN or WC (Wiltshire Council (Unitary Authority), was Wiltshire County Council until March 2009)/BB which would have been bad enough, although their boiler would outsteam a King, but Southern USA.

No but trains do go from Exhibition Centre to this particular station, and would then terminate.

Edit: because I confused myself =P
