Major problems today. From FGW^▸ (First Great Western) live updates:

Line problem between Worcester Shrub Hill and Oxford.
Train services are being disrupted due to signalling problems between Worcester Shrub Hill and Oxford.Engineers are working as fast as possible to restore services to normal. Short notice alterations and delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected.

Have been told it was a signalling problem at Ascott-under-Wychwood but don't know the exact details. The halts train eventually limped into Oxford about an hour down.

Seems I was lucky, I now drive into Oxford once a week as there isnt a train back at a correct time to get me home when required. So if the trains are going to be stuffed up please can it be on Tuesdays?

I believe those pesky axle counters were playing up again.  Hopefully there'll be some nice modern reliable ones installed along the route when it's upgraded!
