CROSS COUNTRY 2009 TIMETABLE

dont know if forum members know about this, and i know its not about the greter western franchise but as cross country will serve the south west (and south wales!) i thought it appropriate!

the 2009 TT is now on consultation.

i am very disappointed that the once a day cardiff to newcastle train has been made into a cardiff to manchester! we already have perfect hourly south wales to manc service with arriva trains wales, and so the new proposed AXC^» cardiff to manc via BNS^▸ is really no use!

what south wales passengers realy need is a direct south wales to scotland service as wasa once proposed by VXC^▸ in 2002!

please ACX. dont forget your network exptends into SOUTH WALES and we need a direct linK to the NE and Scotland as has been provided since the 1970S.

will be replying to the cross country 2009 timetable consultation accordingly! ! ! !

I presume your post refers to the TT due to be implemented in December 2008 which is in effect the 2009 TT.

I think it is a bit premature to be going out to consultation of the TT due to come into force in December 2009 which will continue until December 2010 after all the Arriva XC^▸ franchise may have gone tits up by then.

I think it is a sensible idea to consult the public now as once it is set in stone, I guess there are very little chances for change. There deadline for getting comments in is sometime in October I believe, so I'd better get writing!

I've received my copy of the proposed 2009 TT today by email. Need to study it in detail of course!
