Well Graham, there must be a certain cachet attached to being the top 'hit' on Google UK (United Kingdom) for 'Graham Ellis'. Go on, admit it, I bet you like that!  Wink Grin.

You forgot to mention the drag racer and the Chair of Buckinghamshire Hospitals. Unless of course you are one and the same. A nice bedside manner then into your Nomex overalls for a tear-up the quarter mile across the county border at Santa Pod, Northants.  Tongue Wink Grin

Yeah, I know, severely off topic, but I'll finish by saying that I plan to be on the sea wall for the Red Arrows on the 19th August.

EDIT: And by the way the Red Arrows can be seen at many venues across coffee shop land in August. Minehead and Falmouth on the 11th; Bristol Balloon Fiesta on the 15th; Weston-Super-Mare on the 16th, Weymouth on the 18th; Fowey, Cornwall on the 19th; Torbay on the 25th and Dartmouth on the 27th.

Yes the Red Arrows can be seen at a lot of events this year. You missed out the Bournemouth Airshow.

I missed out Bournemouth because it is not served by First Great Western either directly or by Rail/Bus link. Therefore not in 'coffee shop land'  Wink

Thanks for posting, Jim.

However, to avoid duplication of topics, I've merged this with an existing topic in the calendar on the same subject.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

A leads to b which triggers event c which results in a and bang were stuck in some kind of temporal loop ( not sure if this is a result of thread merging ) but reading the thread from the start feels like I'm reading it twice :-) so let's get it back on track, are there any planned extra services this year using the loco set or units like last year planned

Had planned to go along on the 19th, but am now meeting up with other forum members on the 21st.

http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=7328.msg72954#msg72954

Can't afford 2 days out in the same week! Will instead catch The Red Arrows at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta on the 15th. That'll only cost me a couple of quid to get too.
