IS there anyway you can access FGW (First Great Western) through a mobile phone and get all relevant info. I accessed my account as I was unsure of what time train I was meant to be getting, my girlfriend had thrown out the piece of paper with my booking reference and I had no access to a computer. The webpage with the booking details was not supported on my phone (Sony Ericcson W995) so I had to phone instead, which took a while to say the least.

Couldn't FGW have a mobile website like NR» (Network Rail - home page) Enquiries or do they have one already?

The backend for the ticket selling part of the FGW (First Great Western) website is trainline, so it's a case on waiting to see if they do a mobile version. I'm quite sure there is a facility to have the details sent to you via SMS though. I've seen people collect tickets from machines with the details (ref and journey) on a text.

JourneyCheck ( http://www.journeycheck.com/firstgreatwestern/ ) works on mobile phones.  You have to navigate to wap.jcheck.com/fgw

Very handy as it also tells you the platform numbers and whether the service is on time.  I use this when taking a connecting train as I can find out the platform number before I even arrange at the connecting station.

The PDA and smartphone version is at pda.jcheck.com/gw too, for those with fancier kit! Smiley
