Anyone?

Need something from there and have about 40 minutes from my train getting into cardiff to closing - so I havent got time to wander around like a waif.

Google has no idea - seems to be in some black void.

Google works for me (I thought you worked in IT?  Huh).

Try http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&source=hp&q=john%20lewsi%20cardiff&oq=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

It is not far (10 minutes ) so long as your train is on time you should be fine.

That link appears to take me to a shop named John Lewsi.

Is that the Welsh spelling of John Lewis? Really hope it's not another shop altogether... I seem to remember hearing of a rugby player named something like that, perhaps he retired and opened a sports shop?

According to Google Maps about 15mins walk:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Central+Square,+Castle,+Cardiff,+CF10+1+(Cardiff+Central+railway+station)&daddr=CF10+1EG&hl=en&geocode=CeNW6P2JiUaKFft3EQMdlYPP_yGgWWqKOn08jA%3BFStsEQMdH7PP_yn1U-w01AJuSDEQjFwW8d1foQ&mra=pe&mrcr=0&dirflg=w&sll=51.473451,-3.165409&sspn=0.097301,0.220757&ie=UTF8&ll=51.474407,-3.172688&spn=0.006081,0.013797&z=16

Assuming the postcode I got for John Lewis Cardiff is correct, I would hope it is, as I got it off the John Lewis website Tongue

Trust me - I put in the postcode and got somewhere in an industrial site!

Google hates me.

Thanks all

Hi FA,

Go out the front of the station and Turn Right walk about 5 Mins and you there, has you approach Cardiff Station if you look out of the Right hand side of the train from Newport you will see John Lewis Store just has the train goes across the rail bridge second from Station

Hi All,

Both Google maps are wrong the nearest one is Tim where you see Caroline Street end in a diamond shape square and a arrow on the map pointing down Hayes Bridge road there is a big John Lewis shop on the left.

Just walk out the front of Station, turn right up a slight incline loads of Taxis should be on your left with rail wall also. At the main road bottom of St Marys Street cross road at crossing go up Mill lane and you will see John Lewis after passing a block on your left hand side.

No more than 5 minutes at a crawl

Its a tasteful beige and brand-new building. If you reach the St Davids shopping centre you have gone to far.  It is adjacent to the Centre but really a separate building to the South of it (with afoot bridge link at 1 floor level)

Bassett44 has it correct.  Out of front of station.  Turn right and walk uphill past cabrank so you are walking east and parallel to the railway line.

In about 100 yards you come to the complicated traffic lights which are at the bottom of St Mary Street.

Cross the road to about 10 o'clock into Mill Lane leaving the Marriott Hotel on your right.

At the next junction in about 75 yards you will see John Lewis  to the right of you.

It's 5 minutes or less from the station.

Ignore the Google Map which is out of date and wrong.

Thanks all - I am leaving cardiff now the proud owner of two sets of bedding, two bathrobes and miscellaneous stuff

John Lewis is the only place that still sells super king size bedding unless you buy it online - and then you cant tell what it feels like!

And it quicker to go ludlow - cardiff than ludlow -brum whichever way you do it!

I was going to point you towards http://www.johnlewis.com/Shops/DSShop.aspx?Id=42 which has a link that says "how to find us"... Unfortunately that link takes you back to the same John Lewis Cardiff page... It would have been good otherwise... It does tell you how to say "Welcome to John Lewis Cardiff" in welsh though.. Croeso i John Lewis Caerdydd..  Grin
