Anyone know what happened to this morning's Bristolian? (0730 ex Temple Meads) It seemed to be stuck forever between Worle and Yatton according to the OLDBs.

Interesting I posted a similar incident with an HST (High Speed Train) stopped by brake failure by my house a few weeks ago.

High mileage fault?

As logged by NR» (Network Rail - home page)...

1A06 dr error at WSM advised by FGW (First Great Western) control that driver had problems with A.T.P. at WSM 06:20 Driver on 1A06 0620 Weston SM to Paddington whilst at Weston SM is unable to to set up A.T.P. or create brake and is speaking with maintenance staff. 06:40 Driver has now managed to create brake but will still need fitters to attend to A.T.P. on arrival at Bristol TM(resolve).

07:15 Delayed 1A07 0649 Weston SM to Padd routed into Yatton UPL to allow 1S98 to pass. Upon receiving proceed aspect the driver advised signaller that he had lost all air. Signal replaced. 07:50 Driver has had a look around the train and unable to identify a specific cause. Will continue fault finding. TRI en-route from Bath Spa and will be dropped off by 2Y06 - eta 0844. 08:11 Arrangements put in place with the assistance for Cross Country Trains for the TRI to join 1V41 0642 Birmingham to Paignton and dropped off at Yatton. ETA on site is now approx 0825. XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) Trains thanked for their help. 08:38 TRI just arrived on site.

Ouch! I thought it was a long delay. So what time did the unfortunate passengers get on the move (having seen several trains pass them)?  Just as well it was in the loop, otherwise there would have been chaos.
