I expect we'll get comment from the "don't forget to upgrade west of Exeter folks" ... that's an average speed of 3960 m.p.h. from Bristol to Exeter, dropping to a paultry 1200  m.p.h.on to Newton Abbott, then just 1920 m.p.h. on to Plymouth.

well on the road drivers on late shifts always drive faster on the home straight but this is extreame

It would appear that London Midland and Arriva CrossCountry have managed to, secretly, re-fresh their rolling stock with engines running on Dilithium crystals. Normally a guard would give 'two' to the driver on departure at each station. Anyone know what the bell-code for "Ach, she cannae take much more of it Cap'n, if I give her any more, she'll blow" is?

actually im pretty sure that its very difficult to create a stable warp field within a planitery atmosphere, perhaps they used a quantem slipstream drive?
