Hang on. One has apparently already happened at Truro without advertising on the website. That's a franchise commitment breach.

I've no trumpet - just seeing things from both sides and being fair.

AS you rightly note, it wasn't an 'offficial' MTM. Therefore no requirement.

Point partly conceded about Truro, I wasn't there, but another forum member believed it was a MtM session.

Rather than have a pop at me, how about enquiring of your masters about the remaining 12 sessions and letting us passengers know.

The website says "The table below displays the date,  time and station or train service for all the events until the end of February 2012."

(My emphasis in bold)

I note MtM session advertising wasn't discussed at the latest London and Cotswolds CP meeting. Don't think I'll bother bringing it to the attention of my local CP member.

As for the trumpet. Fair enough. Not easy to blow one when on a high horse.  Tongue Grin

You're the one on a high horse about finding any possible minute break of their franchise - which is extremely boring, especially as this isn't affecting the public.

I'm public, Id like to know if there is another session in Bristol or on a train from Bristol before December 2011.

As for minute breaks in a franchise.... the specific commitments are there whether you or anyone else likes it or not. FGW▸ (First Great Western) signed up to those commitments - the big ones and the small ones - so I see no difference based on a arbitrary definition of the minuteness of the commitment.

If Chiltern can be fined for being a month late knocking up a platform shelter.....

Here we go again - I've already explained elsewhere.
That was a very minor infirngement which, on it's own, wouldn't have necessitated a fine.
What they got fined for was passing PSR▸ (Permanent Speed Restriction) services to WSMR▸ (Wrexham, Shropshire and Marylebone Railway), who they also own. Effectively allowing farebox raids on their income. Totally against franchise rules, and they knew it too.

The maximum fine was 10% of their annual revenue, so ^350,000 is avery minor fine.

They were also losing the open stops at Banbury / Leamington which started the farebox raids - something I believe that was the final nail in WSMR - not that it ever made any money, losing ^1million or more every year. Great service, wrong destination.

That's what they got fined for - the other minor breaches were added to the charge sheet to completely clear them of every wrong 'un.

Three more sessions have been added to the MtM diary. All happening on local trains from Plymouth on Weds Nov 2nd, one to Gunnislake and two to Penzance.



9 more sessions to be advertised.....

Nothing listed on the FGW▸ (First Great Western) website, and I also note that no requirement to hold such sessions has been included in the interim franchise agreement from October 2013. Previously FGW were required to hold a set number of sessions per annum. Has this requirement been quietly dropped?

Readers of the Frequent Posters Club will understand why I might like a face-to-face with senior management at Paddington...
