EK (Economy Klaus (web log)) has been busy coming up with some phrases often heard on FGW (First Great Western) trains with his own translations:

Indeed, why don't we all do that, because with no passengers the government will be able to shut down the railways and you can get a job as a bus driver.

Of course if that happens you'll find out what real whinging is like...

Funny story...cheered me up somewhat.

I wonder when there'll be a sex discrimination case lodged against FGW (First Great Western) as it prevents males from obtaining an upgrade ? Wink

From the latest Economy Klaus blog post (link below) :
http://firstlatewestern.blogspot.com/2008/04/trespassing-on-my-time.html

Quote from: Economy Klaus
Moments after the train manager^s announcement has concluded and the passengers have digested the news and made their first round of calls home ^Hi luv^just outside Paddington^trespassers on the line^yeah, tell me about it!^ an HST (High Speed Train) thunders past on the neighbouring line 10-20 yards away. Immediately you can see the question forming in everyone^s mind: how come we^re stuck here, yet the trains next door are still going at full speed?

Like him or loathe him, he was always entertaining.

Of all the FGW (First Great Western)-related blogs we have been monitoring, only 3 have been active in the last month :

I Work For FGW - run by Ollie, a member of this forum.
http://www.iworkforfgw.com/blog/

Third Rate Western - run by miniman, also a member of this forum.
