APPEAL FOR WITNESSES AFTER TRAIN GUARD ASSAULTED - NAILSEA AND BACKWELL
British Transport Police (BTP▸ ) is appealing for the public^s help to identify three people they would to speak to in connection with an assault on a member of railway staff at Nailsea and Backwell station.
Officers have today released CCTV▸ images of the people they are seeking.
At about 11am on Friday 9 October, a female train guard was verbally abused and spat at by one of two youths she had asked to leave the train because they did not have tickets and were unwilling to pay their fare.
The men, who were accompanied by a young woman who was in possession of a child^s ticket, had got on the train at Parson Street station in Bristol. The men immediately went into a toilet on board the train were uncooperative when asked by the guard to produce a ticket or pay their fare.
As they were leaving the train at Nailsea and Backwell station, one of the men spat in the train guard^s face.
The male youths police would like to speak to about the incident are both are described as being white and in their mid to late teens. Both were wearing grey hooded tops.
Officers would also like to speak to a young woman who was with the youths. She is described as being white, aged about 16, with blonde hair. She was wearing a short, brown leather jacket and had a brown Staffordshire terrier dog with her.
