Not to be condoned, but I've just received this pic from a Southeastern train driving friend. Please excuse the fruity language that has been created!

Note: I have further 'vandalised' the photo by censoring the first word, without hopefully diluting its comedic value, as I have had my wrist slapped by the moderators!!

I'm not a prude or a PC zealot - I'm not remotely offended by the language or the piss take of the royal family, and I'm not thick but...........

I just DON'T GET IT

Please explain!

Not sure what's TO GET. I just thought it was funny. No deeper meaning than that.

I spotted a similar bit of creativity at Maidenhead a few years back, where one of the station signs had been altered from saying:

'Change here for the Marlow branch' to

'  hang   her  for          no    bra'

obviously the anti-feminist movement is strong in Maidenhead  Wink

All the local buses in Bristol used to have (and may still do) "Welcome to FirstBus" vinyls on the window adjacent to the front door. I saw one vehicle several years ago that had had some of the stickers peeled off the reveal the message "We come      First".

There have also been some "sign hacking" on trains round here recently... All US public transport vehicles seem to have a "Title VI notice to the public", which essentially promises access to vehicles and seating without discrimination on the grounds of race/national origin etc - the text of the notice on SEPTA, my local system, is here:
http://www.septa.com/titlevi.html

Some cheeky individual has been posting very official-looking altered notices with rather different text (slightly tricky to read in this photo, but worth the effort - some of it's local in-jokes but a lot of it's not):

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity.
