Nice spot Angel, the destination board of the right hand train is indeed wrong (should read 'Swansea'), but not what I was intimating about.....try again!

Think mine was a better "get" since even the poster had not noticed that one!

Okay Angel, just for you; here's a virtual prize for trumping me...and for slightly confusing me with different definitions of 'poster' !!

Hmm.  That poster (the London Midland one, not bignosemac!) only gives part of the story, anyway: fair enough, 'When the ticket office is open, buy a ticket before you board the train'.  That's a bit obvious - but what it doesn't then explain, to the perhaps rather puzzled infrequent passenger, is what to do if the ticket office is not open?  For example, 'When the ticket office is not open, you may board the train and then buy your ticket, provided that you have the intention and means to pay, and you seek out the train manager on board as soon as possible'.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

Just a minute! What the hell is that poster doing there? Shocked

I know that LM (London Midland - recent franchise) manage Coleshill Parkway and other stations east of B'ham which only have XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) services (an inconsistency caused by the desire for XC to manage no stations)

But I thought ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))) managed all Welsh stations, and if so - what the hell is that poster doing there?!

Hmm.  London Midland posters do seem to be something of a law unto themselves, don't they?
