Did any one see that good old Ryanair only had 12 check in desks open at Stanstead last Saturday and hundreds missed their flights.

Please feel free to move it but The Lighter Side seemed the right place to put it.

Probably getting the public ready for the time when they have NO checkin desks at Stansted which is either at the end of this year beginning of next?

Yes I saw it on the news, but didn't pay enough attention unfortunately to see Ryanair's defence of the situation!

I know exactly what their defence would be:- O'Leary saying "what do you expect for the money ?"

O'Leary's Deputy was on You and Yours. David Dimbleby was caught.

Said it was a one off, apologies, and said problem with sub contractor not having enough staff on duty didn't expect number travelling with bags to drop!

People phoned in later to say it had happened on previous occasions but hadn't made the news.

Interesting ponint made by Dimbleby was that he talked to th BAA duty manager who said "it's not BAA's problem". A bit like Networkrail at Paddington can say it's not our problem if FGW (First Great Western) has problems.
