Surely the potential issue with tickets should be highlighted on NR» and FGW▸ websites. I don't see anything mentioned on either. Haven't tried but I'd hope the option to collect internet purchases from the machine has been blocked on the ticketing sites as well.

Tickets bought on the internet can now be collected at Truro, Available from the Customer assistasnce office.
aternativley even if you nominated Truro as the station to collect them from I have it on goood authority you can collect them anywhere.

'Normality' seems to be being restored, passengers were visible in the ticket office area at the machine this morning, looked from the P&R▸ bus as it passed.

No, they haven't got it wrong. The piece makes it clear it was talking about the situation yesterday, ie Tuesday, before the print version of the paper went to press, and if the reporter was told at that time that there was a problem issuing advance tickets, what else do you expect them to report? If alternative arrangements have now been made, maybe you could contact the West Briton and suggest they make that information more widely known, instead of taking cheap shots at very busy journalists - of whom I'm one. |

Yes, It was Tuesday afternoon apparently, about 16.30. Talking to those in the know there, it's a problem of getting rid of the excess water off the flat roof fast enough and in the right direction - out rather than in. They have taken advantage of being shut to do some unrelated work to the booking office floor, there was a man making a hell of a mess with a disc cutter there today. Meanwhile, the staff seemed to have done a good job at setting a couple of their ticket machines in two different offices so they can now sell all they're meant to - can't be easy for them or the passengers. I'll keep an eye on it.
