On the 1337 from Slough - yes an (automoderated) turbo however I feel so I'll even I don't care! Shocked

any way - wasn't too depressed - the windows open and at 90 you get one hell of a breeze!

We're now approaching Retford and only JUST getting above snails pace. Up HSTs (High Speed Train) also affected

Retford? Thought that was on ECML (East Coast Main Line)!

Probably just the heat. There were technians on the signals at Taplow this am all dressed up in complete orange suits must have been baking!

Swindon C (Didcot area) has been playing up all week.

At least with manual signals you had slack adjusters. Electronics just doesn't like the heat.

The fans in the CIS (Customer Information System) boxes at Taplow were going full tilt this am.

Our boys in the shed have been given hi-vis poloshirts for the first time this summer, though I'm still expected to have my shirt buttoned right up (the new suppliers collars shrink in the wash) with a clip on tie, blazer and oh, just for comedy effect, the last uniform supply of trousers we got were lined. Luckily for me I managed to find a 158 today that had working aircon!
