on a normal network - ie not one run by a bus (stourbridge i'm thinking here)

I ask because the other night- I kid you not, I saw a group of able bodied yoofs asking when the next train to foregate street was).   A couple of them were over endowed in the girth area (and i'm not svelt by any means so I can say that) - but even so - FFS^▸ (for goodness' sake (a more polite definition))

By the time the next train arrives at shrub to get to foregate, they could have walked it!  I have done many times when the truck is at shrub and I come into foregate!

I did feel like saying - walk you idle goits - takes about ten minutes.  But it was late and I couldnt be arsed (which is unlike me)

I was was at Shrub Hill once when a couple asked when the next train to New Street was.  Platform staff went into office and got out a map and showed them the way to walk to Foregate Street.

There cant be many stations where when you ask the next train time question you are told to walk to the next station as it is quicker.!

The Stourbridge branch is was the shortest branch line . But as Mookie says - now run by a bus. (albeit on rails)

The three closest stations in the UK^▸ (United Kingdom) are 3 DLR^▸ (Docklands Light Railway) stations (the ones either side of, and Canary Wharf). A matter of yards between the platforms!

As I started the debate can we leave out any city undergrounds - London underground and liverpool misery raiil as an example - they are not to me Rail transport

Its funny - i'll happily try to go by rail anywhere but if I'm in scouseland visiting mum, I'll drive into the city centre (even during the recent traffic crud) even though we're a stone's throw from aintree station


I spent 6 years using misery rail going to school - I do not want to revisit EVER
