Not fair! I demand a recount! Chris didn't actually say where the next station is that this train is calling at. Where is the next station for this train to call at;
It's a chance in a blooming million that any train approaching Melksham station would actually stop there, particularly as this photo was taken during daylight hours, which is why I stated that I believed that this train, which is patently approaching Melksham station and heading in a southerly direction, would next call at Westbury. I think Chris's entry should be discounted  |

Indeed, Phil - I was very careful to say that I reckoned it was a train approaching Melksham Station - accepting that it was rather unlikely that it would actually stop there!  |

Passing on its way between Leeks and Leekes ... next stop Melksham, final destination (unless it's a very old picture!) Westbury. So it must be taken on a Saturday or Sunday, as both southbound trains on Monday to Friday (passing here at 06:38 and 19:09) continue on to Southampton, where 143s ain't allowed.
